In 1988, an all-electric glass melting furnace with a daily output of 3 tons was introduced from the United Kingdom, and 26 technical improvements were successively made to it, and more advanced electric melting furnace equipment suitable for national conditions was successfully made.
In 1998, facing the transformation of the domestic glassware market, Chengde Huafu Technology Engineering Co., Ltd. came into being.
In 2000, the series of glass electric melting furnaces developed by Huafu were included in the key new products. Before 2000, electric glass furnaces were mainly used in the small-scale hand-made glassware industry, with a production capacity of 3-18 tons per day. Up to now, the hand-formed soda-lime glass electric melting furnace has begun to move towards the production of high value-added crystalline glass, mainly concentrated in Shanxi, Shandong, Hebei and other places, with about 70 enterprises.
Since 2002, high borosilicate glass electric melting furnaces of different specifications have been developed in Zhejiang and Yunnan. The products are mainly used in the photothermal conversion solar energy industry. Among them, the 27m2 all-electric glass melting furnace of Yunnan Yuxi Taibiao Group was the largest high borosilicate production line in China at that time.
